The collection is loosely inspired by late Victorian attire. The Victorian woman had a dress for every occasion - etiquette manuals dictated when each type of dress was appropriate.
Naturally reminded of Lewis Carroll's Alice (in Wonderland and) Through the Looking Glass, perhaps the most widely read fantastical novel from that era. The premise is strangely relevant today - Alice enters a fantastical world again, climbing through a mirror into a world that she can see beyond, and there, just like a reflection, everything is reversed, including logic.
