A matter of time
This collection is a poem compiled from fragments re-worked over the years, a “still point of the turning world…neither from nor towards”, inspired by T.S. Eliot’s “Burnt Norton”. We present a thoughtfully, consciously tailored collection that is both refined and relaxed, with a sense of balance and moderation.
IN A WORLD OF FADING CLASSIC
Just as an artist would begin with the basic elements of art – line, shape, form, colour, texture, space and perspective, this season we take a breather from the prevalent Y2K aesthetics and its excess of pop culture and ultra-consumerism, and go back to classic silhouettes as basic forms.
KEEP COURAGE FOR ALL ETERNITY
This season, as a continuation of SS22, paying homage to 90s cinema and mixing elements of tailoring with sportwear codes, we explore clothing as a medium of self-expression – clothes are capable of reflecting our image, but in expressing ourselves and choosing what to wear, we are also in the dimension of transforming into something else.
Canned Memories
A tribute to the OG Wong Kar Wai’s masterpiece Chungking Express (1994), we explore the theme of temporality - our subjective experience of time and memories, and seek inspiration from the romantic, neo-noir elements of Hong Kong in the 90s, re-imagining classic silhouettes and prints into unique pieces with Surian’s signature relaxed tailoring.
Rolling Reflections
Seeking inspiration from American artist Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Lake George Reflection”, we explored her dramatization and abstraction of nature, emotion-evoking colour palette and experimental thought process, creating a collection of uplifting colours, shapes and textures.
An ode to gen z
A collection that marries The Surian aesthetic with an imagined muse – a sensitive, digitally informed, urban but artsy French Gen Z. She’s highly aware of our changing times. Yes, she’s into fashion – but she’s also into non-fashion. Sometimes, more so in the post-Covid world, don’t we just want well-made clothing that speak to the everyday?
THE DRAWING ROOM FANTASIES
Inspired by late Victorian attire. The Victorian woman had a dress for every occasion - etiquette manuals dictated when each type of dress was appropriate: the various pieces - bloomers (undergarments), the sacque (bathrobe equivalent), the reception dress, the promenade dress, the visiting toilette, the travelling ensemble, the seaside dress, what people wore horse-riding, and bathing in the sea...
NOMADIC MUSINGS
Designed to be an elevated vacation wardrobe, this collection features lightweight cottons, linens and silks that are relaxed enough for the weekend, yet refined enough for the office. With its sunbleached tones, vibrant prints and floaty silhouettes, we hope these pieces transport you to your favourite faraway places.

A classic idiom that speaks to the Surian commitment of small-batch, high-integrity designs. This collection eptiomizes our signature utility-chic aesthetic - functional elegance, intelligent versatility. Minimalist style that you can live, work and venture in.
An homage to tetrachromats
With its soft palette, dynamic silhouettes, and illusory textural explorations, this collection is inspired by Tauba Auerbach's inexplicably beautiful and dynamic "Tetrachromat" series, and especially, her curiosity about our world.
MONOCHROMES AND THE DEPTH OF BLUE
Just as artist Yves Klein saw the monochromal use of colour as an ‘open window to freedom’, we are returning to our roots this season, celebrating the stripped-back ease of thoughtful yet uncomplicated designs. The viewer is present in the art, just as the wearer is uniquely expressed in each piece she wears.
